Dawn Berthiaume, MSN, MBA, RN, CNOR
I am on the 2024-2025 ballot for the position of Vice President. It is critical to have individuals on the Board who work to ensure that the goals for the organization are relevant, achievable, and provide opportunities for professional growth to the members. I have been privileged to serve in some capacity for the past 10 years as well as serving as Chair of the AORN Sterile Processing/Supply Chain Management Specialty Assembly. My 45+ years of perioperative nursing practice and education experience will be assets to AORN of San Diego County as we collectively look to the future.
Dawn is adjunct faculty at Southwestern College.

It would be my honor to continue to serve this organization that I believe in and love. Working alongside perioperative colleagues to support safety and better outcomes for our patients has been a cornerstone of my career in the OR and AORN gives us the scafolding to do this work. I hope you will allow me to participate in a meaningful way as the Secretary.

I am seeking the position of Board of Directors, AORN San Diego Chapter. This would be my second time applying for a position with the team, and I am excited to be a part of making a positive difference for the future of nursing.
Jaslyn is the division officer for the Sterile Processing Department at Naval Medical Center San Diego.

Evangeline “Gigi” Fulgencio, MSN, BSN, CST
Nine years as an educator for ORN and Surgical Tech Program at Southwestern College as well as an AORN Periop 101 Administrator. I am seeking the position for 1-year Nominating Committee. I’ve been wanting to join the AORN SD Chapter. I believe now is the time to get involved and share my skills and knowledge to the organization and community. I look forward to serve the SD AORN Chapter.
Gigi is faculty at Southwestern College, charge nurse at Scripps Memorial Hospital, and OR staff nurse at Kaiser Permanente.

My goal is to serve, commit, and learn as much as I can so that I can share what AORN has to offer to the perioperative nursing field. My passion and willingness to commit to serving is very strong.
